A new documentary, ‘Don’t Sharia My Texas’, is set to be released digitally on July 4. The film, directed by Chris Burgard and produced by Tim Lowry, examines the impact of Sharia law on American communities, with a focus on Texas as a symbol of resistance.
Documentary Features Prominent Public Figures
The documentary features interviews with several public figures, including retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, journalist and war correspondent Lara Logan, and former U.S. Rep. Allen West. The film also includes an animated segment that presents the filmmakers’ account of Muhammad’s rise to power and the establishment of Islam.
John Guandolo, a former FBI special agent, appears in the film, discussing the threat of Sharia law to American constitutional liberty. ‘I hope Texans and the rest of America see this movie and recognize we are in a real war against a ruthless enemy that exploits the goodness of America and Americans to subvert all that is right and just,’ Guandolo said.
Local Angle: Dallas Premiere and Community Screenings
The documentary premiered at the Angelika Film Center in Dallas on June 28 and will continue to be screened in communities across the country. The film’s website invites churches, groups, and community organizations to request local screenings.
