Wylie ISD students have shown significant improvement in their performance on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) exams. According to the results released by the Texas Education Agency, districtwide scores improved in Algebra I, Biology, English I, and English II compared to 2025.

At least 88% of students met grade-level standards in every tested subject, with as many as 98% doing so in Biology. Districtwide, Algebra I scores increased by 3 percentage points to 96%, Biology rose by 1 point to 98%, English I improved by 2 points to 88%, and English II increased by 1 point to 88%.
Wylie High School saw improvements in Algebra I scores, which rose by 3 points to 94%. English I remained unchanged at 88%, while English II slipped by 1 point to 89%. Biology and U.S. History each declined by 1 point but still posted 97% of students meeting grade-level standards.
Wylie East High School recorded gains in every tested subject except U.S. History. English I and English II each improved by 4 percentage points to 88%, Algebra I rose by 4 points to 93%, and Biology increased by 1 point to 98%. U.S. History dipped by 1 point to 97%.
The Texas Education Agency noted that the Spring 2026 results reflect continued academic progress for Texas students, with the percentage of students meeting grade level increasing across all EOC subject areas and student groups.
