The city of Shreveport is celebrating America’s 250th birthday with a special Naturalization Celebration at The Strand Theatre. U.S. District Judge Maury Hicks will administer the Naturalization Oath of Allegiance to 34 candidates from 23 countries.
Naturalization Celebration Details
The event, part of the 2026 KTBS 3 Freedom Fest Series, will feature a performance by The Victory Belles and guest speakers. It will be hosted by KTBS 3’s Jan Elkins and Rick Rowe, and is sponsored by AEP SWEPCO.
The celebration will begin at 2 p.m. with The Victory Belles performing, followed by the swearing-in ceremony at 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, and will also be livestreamed on KTBS+.
Freedom Fest Finale
The KTBS 3 Freedom Fest 2026 will culminate in a grand finale on July 4, with top-notch entertainment and simultaneous fireworks displays at five locations across the ArkLaTex.
