On June 19, two officers from the Lakeside Park-Crestview Hills Police Department responded to a home in the 2800 block of University Circle to assist the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services with an investigation.
Incident Details
A man, later identified as 37-year-old Daniel Bolinger of Crestview Hills, exited the residence and confronted the officers with a knife, prompting them to discharge their weapons. Bolinger was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kenton County Coroner’s Office.
No officers were injured during the incident. The Kentucky State Police is now leading the investigation, as is standard procedure for officer-involved shootings in Kentucky.
