Florida’s Miki Sudo is returning to New York to defend her title at the Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July hot dog-eating contest on Saturday. Sudo, from Tampa, won her 11th title in 2025 after eating 33 hot dogs.
Competition Details
This year’s competition includes contestants from 18 states and several countries. The men’s division will also feature competitive eater Joey ‘Jaws’ Chestnut, who was last year’s champion and 17-time winner.
Nathan’s Famous, which started as a 5-cent hot dog stand in Coney Island over a century ago, was bought by packaged meat company Smithfield Foods in January for $450 million in cash. The first competition dates back to 1972.
