The US Mint is commemorating America’s 250th anniversary with two special coin offerings, including a new uncirculated coin set and a limited-edition quarter that will be randomly released into circulation ahead of Independence Day.
Special Coin Offerings
The 2026 United States Mint Uncirculated Coin Set includes two 10-coin cards featuring uncirculated-quality coins produced at the Mint’s Philadelphia and Denver facilities. The set is priced at $124.50 and has a product mintage limit of 300,000 sets.
In addition to the collector’s set, the Mint is releasing 250,000 special Semiquincentennial Declaration of Independence quarters featuring a unique ‘July 4’ privy mark. These quarters will be randomly mixed with standard 2026 Declaration of Independence quarters and distributed through banks and financial institutions in time for the Fourth of July.
‘This is more than a coin; it’s a defining moment in our nation’s story,’ Mint Director Paul Hollis said in a statement. ‘We hope Americans enjoy the search for these iconic quarters as they’re meant to be shared, saved, and remembered as part of this historic anniversary.’
