Denton city facilities will close for the Fourth of July. All libraries will close Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4, and reopen with normal hours Sunday, July 5.
Facility Closures
The Linda McNatt Animal Shelter will also close July 3-4, and reopen with regular hours Monday, July 6. The Denton Municipal Court and Quakertown Civic Center will close Friday, July 3, and resume regular hours Monday, July 6. Utilities customer service will close July 3 and resume regular hours Monday, July 6. Administrative offices, including City Hall, will close on July 3.
Denton Enterprise Airport administrative offices will also close on July 3-4, and the air traffic control tower will be open from 6 a.m.-10 p.m. The airfield will stay open 24/7 through the holiday weekend.
Recreation Centers and Facilities
The following recreation centers and facilities will remain open July 3 and close July 4: Denia Recreation Center, North Lakes Recreation Center, Denton Senior Center, and American Legion Hall Senior Center. The Denton Tennis and Pickleball Center will also remain open July 3, but close July 4. The tennis and pickleball center will reopen Sunday, July 5.
The North Lakes Driving Range will operate under regular hours July 3 and stay open with modified hours on July 4, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and resume normal hours July 5.
All aquatic facilities will also remain open for regular hours on July 3-4, including the Denton Natatorium, Water Works Park and Civic Center Pool.
