On Monday afternoon, more than a dozen cars were broken into at two separate locations in Wake County. Five cars were damaged in the parking lot of Planet Fitness on Cary Towne Boulevard in Cary. Fourteen cars were broken into at the Morrisville Aquatics and Fitness Center.
A car owner, Sandi Wilson, whose car was broken into in Cary, said there was nothing in her car to take, but her window was broken and someone had gone through the car’s center console and glove box. Wilson expressed concern about the safety of the area, saying she and her husband have lived in Cary for over 35 years and always felt safe.
Cary Police and Morrisville Police are actively investigating the break-ins. The two agencies have not commented on whether the two incidents were connected.
