A tragic incident occurred in Valley Station on Tuesday night when a 2-year-old child drowned after falling into a pool. The Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) responded to the 10300 block of Nanka Road to assist EMS with a reported drowning.
The caller informed dispatchers that the child had fallen into the pool and was unresponsive. The child was rushed to Norton Children’s Hospital, where they sadly passed away. LMPD’s homicide unit is leading the investigation, as per department protocol.
LMPD expressed their condolences to the child’s family, stating that this is a heartbreaking incident and their thoughts are with the family during this difficult time.
