All 14 candidates endorsed by the NFIB Georgia PAC won their races in the June 16 primary runoff. Incumbent state Sens. Russ Goodman, Jason Anavitarte, and Frank Ginn won their Republican primaries. Will Wade defeated two challengers to win the Republican nomination in District 51.
In House races, state Reps. Kasey Carpenter, Katie Dempsey, Matt Dubnik, Todd Jones, Matt Hatchett, House Speaker Jon Burns, and Majority Whip James Burchett all won their Republican primaries. Ward Black defeated Chat Paton to win the Republican nomination in District 120.
The PAC also endorsed Georgia Supreme Court Justices Charlie Bethel and Sarah Warren, who both won their runoff races.
“It’s essential to elect candidates who understand the issues and challenges facing Georgia’s job creators,” NFIB State Director Hunter Loggins said. “The results of the primary runoff show the influence that small business owners, their families, and their employees can have at the polls.”
Georgia’s general election will be held Nov. 3. If needed, a general election runoff will be held Dec. 1.
