Bend, Oregon will end June with cooler temperatures, with highs in the low to middle 70s. The normal high temperature for late June is around 80, so the area has been significantly cooler than usual.
Weekend Weather
The rain and high elevation snow over the weekend was good for the region. Even though the area barely got any rain, the cooler temperatures gave a brief break from the hot, sunny and dry pattern that increased fire danger.
This week will see a gradual rise in afternoon high temperatures, finally getting back to normal by Friday. There will be a noticeable chill in the air overnight as the area will start to see some clearing skies.
The Fourth of July will be dry and sunny, so outdoor plans will not be impacted by the weather. Highs are currently forecast to reach the upper 80s, so the above normal pattern arrives just in time for the holiday.
