The month of July features Independence Day celebrations, festivals, movies in the park and so much more in the Triangle area. The city of Raleigh’s annual July 4 fireworks display has moved to Dix Park. Gates open at 5 p.m. and fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.

Other events in the area include the Celebration in Downtown Cary Park on July 3, the Apex Fireworks Frenzy on July 3, and the Garner July 3rd Independence Day Celebration. The Durham Bulls will also be hosting three consecutive fireworks shows starting on Friday, July 3.
The Cary Presents: Independence Day Celebration will take place on July 4, featuring music from the North Carolina Symphony and a dazzling firework display over Symphony Lake. The Capitol 250: NC Freedom Fest will be held at the State Capitol in Raleigh, marking the United States’ 250th birthday.
Additional events include the Children’s Independence Day Parade at Durham Central Park, the Fourth on First Avenue at Knightdale Station Park, and the Sunis Out, Buns Out event at the Durham Hotel.
