Idahoans are known for their patriotism, but a new ranking has the state at 18th in the country. Despite this, Idaho has high rankings in certain areas, such as civics education requirements and volunteer hours per resident.
Patriotism Rankings
The study found that Idaho has an average number of military enlistees per 1,000 civilian adults, ranking 13th in the country. The state also ranks 8th in Peace Corps volunteers per capita and 13th in volunteer rate.
Idaho’s high ranking in civics education requirements, at 1st in the country, and volunteer hours per resident, at 2nd, are notable. However, the state ranks 16th in veterans per 1,000 civilian adults and 10th in AmeriCorps volunteers per capita.
