The month of July is shaping up to be an exciting time for arts and entertainment in the area. On July 8, rap/country crossover artists Post Malone and Jelly Roll will take the stage at Raymond James Stadium. The show was originally scheduled for May 29 but was postponed due to Post Malone’s unfinished album, The Eternal Buzz.
Upcoming Events
In addition to the Post Malone and Jelly Roll concert, the Straz Center will host The Art of Banksy, a visiting exhibition featuring over 160 works by the anonymous British artist. The exhibition will open on July 31 and run through August 30.
Other notable events in July include concerts by Train, Ne-Yo, Akon, Chicago, Styx, and Lionel Richie, as well as the final show at the Palladium Theater before it closes for renovations. The theater will host a concert by local jazz artists Bryan J. Hughes & The Crew on July 31.
The month will also see the opening of several theater productions, including The Cross & the Saber at LAB Theater Project, Dear Jack Dear Louise at the Shimberg Playhouse, and American Idiot at the Jaeb Theater.
