During a New York Editorial Board interview, Avila Chevalier refused to directly say whether a convicted murderer should be incarcerated. Bill Maher criticized her stance, calling her ‘patient zero’ of the ‘woke mind virus.’ Avila Chevalier has also expressed support for abolishing the police, borders, and prisons, and has voiced opposition to deportations in all circumstances.
Her campaign platform includes ‘Abolish ICE,’ Medicare for All, Housing for All, and a ‘Babies, not Bombs’ agenda. Avila Chevalier’s website states that she would ‘fight to abolish the deportation machine’ and ‘divest’ money spent on wars abroad.
