Country artist Rodney Atkins is sharing a valuable lesson he wishes the younger generation would return to. In an interview, Atkins advised young people to stay true to themselves and tap back into the values he often sings about, such as friends, family, and faith.
Staying True to Oneself
Atkins emphasized the importance of finding things that truly matter and keeping those values in check. He also spoke about the inspiration behind his new album, ‘True South’, which is centered around authenticity and the things that matter most to him and, he believes, most people.
The singer explained that the rise of Artificial Intelligence and social media has left people craving something real. ‘I think it’s hard to believe, with social media, with all the filters and the AI everywhere. There’s a place for all that, but I just think that having something real, you can’t replace real, authentic anything,’ he said.
