A coroner has identified a woman found dead after being dumped by a garbage truck at a construction waste site in Louisville earlier this week. The woman was identified as Amanda Sloss.
Investigation Ongoing
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office confirmed Sloss’ name but did not release her age, or cause or manner of death. Louisville Metro Police said it was around 6 a.m. Wednesday when officers were called out to the 3400 block of Vogt Avenue in the St. Denis after someone found a body.
The location where Sloss’ body was found is used as a transfer site for construction waste. Police said she was believed to have been dumped there by a garbage truck. LMPD also said there are currently no signs of foul play, but the department’s Homicide Unit is still handling the case as an active death investigation.
