Hattie B’s Hot Chicken, a Michelin-recommended restaurant, has opened its second location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, in Plano. The restaurant is located at 2104 Preston Road and offers a variety of Southern-style dishes, including hot chicken, classic chicken sandwiches, and desserts like banana pudding and peach cobbler.

Visitors to Hattie B’s can choose from five different spice levels, ranging from mild to the “Shut the Cluck Up!” level. The restaurant also offers non-spicy options, including classic Southern fried chicken and sweet and smoky dry rub options. Some popular menu items include the classic chicken sandwich with custom sauce and pickles, dirty bird fries loaded with pimento mac and cheese, and a waffle sundae.
Co-founder Nick Bishop Jr. expressed his excitement about the new location, saying, “We love watching our people grow as we continue to expand in the great state of Texas, and we can’t wait to serve up some heat, hospitality and a whole lot of chicken to this awesome community.”

Hattie B’s Hot Chicken was founded by a father and son in Nashville, Tennessee in 2012. The restaurant has since expanded to six different states, with four locations in Texas. The Plano location is the second in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, following the first location which opened in Deep Ellum in 2022 and relocated to Oak Lawn in October 2024.
