The SA Lady Dolphins Elite 10U flag football team, based in San Antonio, Texas, is gearing up for two national tournaments. After competing in regional tournaments, the team qualified for the third annual NFL Flag Championships in Westfield, Indiana, and the AAU Junior Olympic Games in Des Moines, Iowa.
Team Success
The team’s success is a testament to the growth of flag football in San Antonio. The team started with just a couple of girls and has quickly become one of the best 10U teams in the country. Coach Jacob Lorensy envisions the Lady Dolphins expanding by the fall, with the goal of creating a feeder program for middle school and high school flag football.
The team practices at least once a week at Brandeis High School and is looking for more coaches to join the program. With two national tournaments on the horizon, the Lady Dolphins 10U squad has the opportunity to make their talents known on the big stage.
