New Miss Louisiana Prepares for Reign

Shelby Bordelon, the newly crowned Miss Louisiana 2026, is still reflecting on the moment her name was announced as the winner. Representing Iberville Parish, Bordelon joined a local newscast to discuss her victory and the opportunities that come with the title.

Platform and Future Plans

Bordelon hopes to use her platform to bring greater attention to Claire’s Promise, a nonprofit organization she created to help reduce impaired driving. She is also setting her sights on the Miss America competition, which will be held in Florida in September.

Bordelon will take part in one of her first official appearances as Miss Louisiana on Thursday when she attends the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame’s introduction of its newest class of inductees.
