A victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being shot during an attempted robbery in New Britain, according to police.
New Britain police officers responded to a report of shots fired on Alexander Road around 5:15 a.m.
Police said information they gathered on the scene suggested that an attempted robbery occurred when two men approached the victim as he was leaving for work.
A single shot was fired during the struggle and the victim sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound in the left arm.
The suspects fled on foot and eventually entered what police described as a “grayish colored sedan.”
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to police.
The New Britain Police Department is actively investigating this incident.
