Country star Bailey Zimmerman is facing charges after a tumultuous day at a New Mexico resort. An affidavit obtained by Fox News Digital revealed that Zimmerman’s day began with a round of golf and ended with a canceled concert, thousands of dollars in property damage, and a police escort off the property.
Incident Details
According to the affidavit, Zimmerman and his entourage arrived at the Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque on May 27. After playing golf, they returned to the hotel, where Zimmerman allegedly burned his bandmates with a cigarette and later shoved a guitarist during a chaotic soundcheck.
The soundcheck reportedly spiraled out of control, with Zimmerman throwing microphones and cymbals, toppling equipment, and repeatedly defying attempts by his band to calm him down. He eventually left the soundcheck after 44 minutes and returned to the hotel, where he allegedly caused more damage and was eventually escorted off the property by police.
Zimmerman was later charged with a felony count of criminal damage to property and a misdemeanor count of falsely obtaining services. He has since apologized for his actions, stating that he respects the community and appreciates the opportunity to perform on Native Land.
