Thunder Drafts Aday Mara Acquires Bennett Stirtz

The Oklahoma City Thunder added two new faces to its roster during Round 1 of the NBA Draft on Tuesday. With the No. 12 pick in the draft, the Thunder selected Aday Mara, a 7-foot-3 center from Spain. Mara played at Michigan, helping the team to a national title. He averaged 12.1 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists.

Bennett Stirtz

The Memphis Grizzlies selected Iowa’s Bennett Stirtz with the No. 16 pick in the draft. However, Stirtz was traded to the Thunder, who sent its No. 17 pick and two second-round picks to the Grizzlies. Stirtz averaged 19.8 points, 4.4 assists and 1.4 steals. He is from Liberty, Missouri.
