Micah Nori, a Middletown, Ohio native, has been named the head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers. Nori, 52, was born in Middletown and graduated from Middletown High School before playing baseball at Indiana University.
Coaching Career
Nori began his coaching career as an assistant with the Toronto Raptors in 2009. He also had assistant coaching gigs with the Sacramento Kings, Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, and most recently, the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Nori will take over the head coaching position in Portland after the Chicago Bulls hired their former coach, Tiago Splitter. The Trail Blazers made the playoffs in 2025-26, losing to the San Antonio Spurs in the first round.
