A major collision between a commercial vehicle and another vehicle has blocked US 80 East at the 54 mile marker in Marengo County. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) reports that the travel lanes have been shutdown since just before 9:00 last evening.
Troopers have not reported if there were any injuries or fatalities in the crash. The highway is expected to be reopened by mid-morning.
