Texas Governor Greg Abbott celebrated the state’s job gain over the month of June, with 43,400 non-farm jobs added. The Texas Workforce Commission reported that the professional and business services industry had the largest increase in June with 25,500 new jobs.

Job Growth in Texas

Leisure and hospitality and trade, transportation, and utilities also grew significantly. Governor Abbott stated that the state’s investment in high-demand skills training and partnerships with job-creating businesses and innovators have powered expanded opportunity for Texans.
