Federal prosecutors are asking a judge to seal information in the case against a 16-year-old accused of sexually assaulting and killing his stepsister, Anna Kepner, while on a cruise ship last year.
Case Details
The teen, identified as T.H. in court records, has been allowed by a judge to stay out of jail with family in Hernando County ahead of the trial. T.H. has pleaded not guilty to the charges of first-degree murder and aggravated sexual abuse.
If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of life in prison. The defense is requesting that any examinations or tests performed, as well as new motions to review and revoke release, be sealed.
