An argument over a dice game resulted in a shooting that injured one person in Northport late Friday night. The Northport Police Department was called to Knoll Circle yesterday evening, around 7 p.m., and law enforcement officials there contacted the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit to the scene.
VCU Captain Marty Sellers said investigators were able to determine that the incident occurred after an argument over a dice game, with an adult male being shot in the left shoulder after the argument. No suspects have been identified, but the male he argued with is a suspect, according to Captain Sellers.
The victim was treated for injuries and released. No further details are available at this time.
