The New London Public Library celebrated its opening day at its new location at 113 W. North Water Street, the former site of First State Bank. The new building is 26,000 square feet, far larger than the library’s previous facility, allowing for the transfer of all resources and the addition of fresh community programming. The library features 10 rooms that can be rented.
Ashwaubenon Library Relocation
In Brown County, the Ashwaubenon library branch at 1060 Orlando Drive closed as organizers prepare to relocate operations to the new Pamperin Family Branch Library at 909 Cormier Road. The new library will open to the public on July 18 and will be twice the size of the current Ashwaubenon branch, offering areas for children, families, teenagers, and young adults, as well as a larger collection. It will also feature six private study rooms, flexible meeting rooms for group use, and a quiet reading room for those seeking a calm space.
Sarah Sugden, director of the Brown County Library system, expressed gratitude to funding partners, donors, and the community for making the vision a reality. The new library marks a thrilling new chapter for library services in the region.
