Minnehaha County is embarking on a mission to develop a strategic plan to address homelessness. The goal, said Human Services Director Kari Benz, is to work with various agencies and the city of Sioux Falls to create a plan for services, and one that catches people before they end up in a perpetual state of homelessness.
Local Collaboration
Benz said there is a strong desire among social services agencies to develop a plan that can be used for the next several years. “I think it’s a hot topic because there are so many people who are passionate about this topic,” she told the County Commission Tuesday.
