Jonesboro and Lake City Court Clerks Honored for Data Accuracy

Jonesboro, Ark. — The district court clerk’s offices in Jonesboro and Lake City were celebrated at the Arkansas Court Automation Programs Conference for achieving the highest standards of data quality across the state. The Arkansas Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) presented the 2026 Court Data Honor on July 24, highlighting the offices’ timely filing of criminal and traffic citations and their meticulous management of pending cases.

Recognition of Accurate Record‑Keeping

Chief Clerk Bridgett Clifft of Jonesboro, Deputy Clerk Linda Holland of Lake City, and their supporting staff were singled out for maintaining accurate court records that reflect the true history and progression of each case. The award also acknowledged the contributions of Craighead County District Judges David Boling and Tommy Fowler, as well as local attorneys and other justice‑system partners whose cooperation helped ensure the integrity of the data.

Why Data Quality Matters

Clifft explained that reliable court records are essential for accountability, consistency, and public trust in the judicial process. “Being recognized by the AOC for data quality is truly an honor and reflects the dedication of our entire court,” she said. “I am incredibly proud of our clerk’s office and the care we put into our work every day.”

Scott Graves, director of the Office of Research and Justice Statistics, added that accurate data enables courts to manage workloads efficiently, helps judicial leaders understand caseload trends, and ensures the public receives trustworthy information. “This award reflects the exceptional commitment of Bridgett Clifft, the District Court Clerk’s Office, Judge David Boling and Judge Tommy Fowler, and the justice system partners in Craighead County,” Graves noted.

Statewide Support for Court Technology

The Arkansas Court Automation Programs, which sponsors the annual conference, provides courts with technology assistance, public‑access tools, and guidance for developing online services. By promoting consistent data standards, the program helps courts across Arkansas deliver faster, more transparent services to citizens.

Local officials and community members view the honor as a sign that Jonesboro and Lake City courts are upholding the rule of law with precision and integrity—values that resonate deeply in a region that cherishes family, faith, and individual liberty.

Looking Ahead

Clifft and Holland said they will continue to refine their processes, invest in staff training, and collaborate with state agencies to keep Arkansas court data among the nation’s best. Their goal is to ensure that every citizen, from a parent reviewing a traffic citation to a lawyer preparing a case, can rely on clear, accurate records that protect rights and promote justice.
