Parts of southern Indiana are dealing with extreme rain rainfall, and at least one area is being evacuated. Just before noon, evacuations are happening in downtown Lanesville, which is in Harrison County. It’s just east of Corydon, which is also experiencing flooding.
People are being told to get on their roofs. Multiple departments are responding and at least three boats are being deployed for rescues.
The National Weather Service says they are seeing weather stations near Lanesville with more than five inches of rain. The doppler radar estimates are higher, in the 7-10 inch range.
