The Democratic Party is increasingly turning against Israel, with a recent New York Times survey finding that 74% of Democratic voters oppose providing additional economic and military support to Israel. This shift in stance raises questions about who these Democrats are supporting instead.
Support for Terrorist Groups?
Are they supporting Hamas, the terror group in Gaza that outlaws homosexuality and steals aid meant for its countrymen? Or are they aligning with Iran, which is guilty of mowing down tens of thousands of peaceful protesters and routinely calls for ‘Death to America’?
It is time to make Democrats openly avow their alliance with these groups. Their opposition to Israel stems from sympathy for the Palestinian people or dislike of Israeli leader Bibi Netanyahu, but this does not justify supporting terrorist organizations.
U.S.-Israel Alliance
The U.S.-Israel alliance is centered in self-interest, with Israel providing vital military, intelligence, and technological collaboration. Israel’s military is one of the most capable in the world, and its Mossad-led intelligence capabilities are considered among the best.
The alliance benefits the U.S., with Israel’s tech industry powering an AI revolution similar to that in the U.S. It is not solely because of the large Jewish population in the U.S. that the two countries have partnered over the years.
