Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz staged surprise pop-up performances in San Diego to mark the opening of their “Giants” exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego.
The artists performed at the Lafayette Hotel. The pop-up there brought attention to the new exhibit and created a lively, unexpected moment for hotel guests and passersby.
They also played at the Chicano Park Day celebration. That appearance connected the exhibit opening to a local cultural event and brought music into a community gathering.
