The policy welcomes all viewpoints, from left to right, and all points in between. Idiocy and ignorance are fine, as they can bring to light sentiments that others share and promote worthwhile responses.

Readers are trusted to be discerning in judging comments. The policy prefers the use of real names but allows anonymity. It is preferable to use the same handle every time you post and not make up multiple names.

Comments that try to hijack a thread to link with ads for personal business, invective aimed at a person or group, or long rants about unrelated issues will be removed.
