Who should attend
The job fair is open to the public and is specifically designed for veterans, transitioning service members, military spouses and any job seeker looking for new opportunities. Attendees can meet recruiters face‑to‑face, learn about available positions, and receive on‑site assistance with resumes and interview preparation.
Event partners and sponsors
Workforce Solutions East Texas, a division of the Texas Workforce Commission, is hosting the fair at 1421 S. Beckham Ave. The fair is part of the Commission’s 15th annual Hiring Red, White & You! series, which schedules nearly 30 hiring events across the state from Nov. 2 through Nov. 20. Partners include Texas Workforce Solutions, the Texas Veterans Commission and the Texas Medical Center, all working together to connect veterans with quality jobs.
Why the fair matters
“Knowledge, skills, and abilities—hard‑won across the country and around the world—make our communities stronger and more vibrant,” said Doug Shryock, executive director of Workforce Solutions East Texas and a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel. By bringing together a broad range of employers, the fair aims to translate the dedication and expertise of our service members into civilian career success, strengthening both families and the local economy.
What employers are offering
Participating companies span a variety of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, information technology and construction. Many employers have pledged to prioritize hiring veterans and will provide information on apprenticeship programs, tuition assistance and other benefits that support the transition to civilian life.
How to register
Job seekers can sign up for the event by clicking the registration link provided by Workforce Solutions East Texas. Registration is free, and participants are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resumes and any certifications that highlight their military training.
Looking ahead
The Tyler job fair is one of the largest in the region and reflects a growing statewide effort to address veteran unemployment. With the upcoming series of hiring events, the Texas Workforce Commission hopes to create a lasting pipeline of talent that benefits both veterans and employers throughout Texas.
