Mohave County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday that Pierce Anthony Eller, 41, a janitor employed by a private contractor at a Kingman‑area school, is facing more than a dozen criminal charges. The charges stem from alleged trades of vape pens and alcohol for explicit photographs of underage girls.
Alleged conduct and investigation
According to the sheriff’s department, the alleged exchanges began in February when Eller reportedly offered a vape pen and alcohol to an underage family friend in return for a nude photograph. Detectives say the victim disclosed the encounter to friends, who subsequently contacted Eller via social media. The sheriff’s office reports that Eller then repeated the behavior with three additional girls, ages 14 to 16, providing them with vape pens and alcohol in exchange for further explicit images.
Investigators say they have identified ten separate trades between Eller and the initial victim. During questioning on Wednesday, Eller allegedly admitted to the exchanges, and law enforcement officials recovered additional evidence from his cellphone.
Charges and legal process
Eller was taken into custody and booked on ten counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, four counts of luring a minor, and four counts of commercial exploitation of a minor. The sheriff’s department emphasized that none of the victims were students at the school where Eller performed janitorial duties.
Authorities are urging anyone with further information about the case to contact the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division at 928‑753‑0753, referencing case number DR# 26‑043796.
Community response
The allegations have raised concerns among parents and community members about the safety of school environments and the vetting of contracted staff. While the investigation is ongoing, local officials have reiterated their commitment to protecting children and ensuring that all school personnel meet stringent background‑check standards.
School administrators have not released a formal statement pending the outcome of the criminal investigation, but they have assured families that the school will cooperate fully with law‑enforcement efforts and review any contractual relationships that may affect student safety.
