GREEN BAY, Wis. – The final phase of the court‑authorized liquidation of Newcap, Inc.’s non‑real‑estate assets has begun, with an online auction of the contents of its main office at 1540 Capitol Drive. This marks the last Green Bay facility to be sold as part of the multi‑location bankruptcy process.
What’s on the auction block
The Green Bay auction lists 995 lots, ranging from clinic equipment and supplies to quality office furniture and miscellaneous operational gear. Four service vehicles are also included: a 2021 Chevrolet Express 2500 cargo van, a 2013 Chevrolet Express 2500 cargo van, a 2015 Ford Transit, and a 2018 Ford F‑350 Super Duty XL equipped with a service body.
Auction timeline
Bidding is currently open online and will close on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 6 p.m. Central Time. Winners must arrange in‑person pickup the following day.
Additional auctions to conclude the liquidation
Two separate auctions will wrap up the overall liquidation project. The first features a 2023 Turtle Top mobile medical clinic built on a Ford F‑550 chassis, with roughly 6,000 miles on it. This vehicle is available for online bidding now, with the auction set to close on Thursday, Dec. 3. Interested parties can view the clinic in person at Titletown Auction Company’s warehouse on Ramada Way in Green Bay by calling (920) 632‑4125.
The final auction will focus on Newcap’s remaining technology assets, including laptops, tablets, smartphones, Apple iMacs, MacBooks, and other electronic equipment. These items are stored securely at Titletown Auction Company’s Green Bay warehouse, with online bidding expected to begin in late November.
How to bid
All auctions are open to the public and conducted exclusively through Titletown Auction Company’s website. Each lot starts with a $2 opening bid and will sell to the highest bidder, with no reserve price. A 15% buyer’s fee and the applicable 5.5% Wisconsin sales tax will be added to the final purchase price.
Background on Newcap’s bankruptcy
The nonprofit health‑service provider closed its doors at the end of March amid accusations of misusing taxpayer money and filed for bankruptcy in April. Court documents show Newcap owes $4.03 million to 209 creditors. The company estimates it holds $5.9 million in assets, of which $4.89 million is tied up in 25 properties, according to a 137‑page federal filing. An attorney representing Newcap previously told FOX 11 that the liquidation should generate enough funds to satisfy all creditor claims once the assets are sold.
Why this matters to Green Bay
The auction provides local businesses, entrepreneurs, and community members an opportunity to acquire medical and office equipment at low cost, potentially supporting new ventures or expanding existing services in the region. It also demonstrates the transparent handling of a bankruptcy case that impacted local taxpayers and underscores the role of the court‑supervised process in protecting creditor interests.
