Syracuse families have a new Halloween destination. Destiny USA announced its Mall‑O‑Ween celebration for Saturday, Oct. 29, offering a safe, indoor alternative for children and parents to enjoy the holiday together.
Event Highlights
From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., guests can pick up a map at the entrance and visit participating stores for trick‑or‑treating. Treats and small prizes will be available while supplies last, and all participants must be 18 years or younger and accompanied by an adult 21 or older.
Creative stations will include Halloween crafts and face painting, sponsored by La Vie en Rose Destiny USA. A special performance by Jeff the Magic Man will add a touch of wonder, while the Syracuse City Ballet presents a live rendition of the iconic “Thriller” dance.
Costume enthusiasts can enter the costume contest for a chance to win a Destiny USA bundle prize. Photo‑friendly decorations will be scattered throughout the mall, providing festive backdrops for family snapshots.
Community Support
Destiny USA is partnering with Make‑A‑Wish Central New York. Attendees can purchase a Halloween trick‑or‑treat bag for a $3 donation, with proceeds supporting wishes for children with critical illnesses.
“Halloween is one of our favorite times of the year at Destiny USA,” said Samantha Marra‑Marshall, Director of Marketing. “Mall‑O‑Ween is the perfect way to celebrate with family and friends, rain or shine – and for a good cause to support Make‑A‑Wish CNY.”
Practical Details
In addition to the scheduled activities, a Halloween‑themed movie will be shown on a large screen for those who want a relaxed finish to the evening. Masks or face coverings are not permitted for safety reasons, and candy availability is limited to participating retailers while supplies last.
