HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The AshaKiran Foundation is celebrating a milestone this fall. After 20 years of bringing the community together, the nonprofit will host its annual “A Ray of Hope Festival” on Sunday, Nov. 1, at the Orion Amphitheater.
Family‑friendly celebration of culture
The free, family‑friendly event promises a day of cultural dance, international music performances, and a variety of food trucks. A new International Marketplace will showcase arts, crafts, jewelry and textiles from around the world, giving local families a chance to explore global traditions without leaving Huntsville.
Supporting a vital mission
Beyond the festivities, the festival serves as a fundraiser for AshaKiran’s core mission: helping survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. The organization focuses its outreach on foreign‑born and underserved communities, providing critical resources, counseling and advocacy.
Community involvement
Organizers emphasize that the festival is more than a celebration—it is an opportunity for neighbors to stand together in support of vulnerable residents. Local volunteers, businesses and civic groups are invited to sponsor booths, donate supplies, or simply attend to show solidarity.
