Sheridan’s competitive swimming community has plenty to celebrate after local athletes turned in a strong performance at the 2026 Wyoming Swimmers Inc. Winter Short Course Championships, according to Sheridan Media.
The meet gave Sheridan swimmers a chance to test themselves against competitors from across Wyoming, and by all accounts they rose to the occasion. The championship event is one of the premier benchmarks on the Wyoming youth swimming calendar, and Sheridan’s contingent made their community proud with their results.
The strong showing is a testament to the dedication of the young athletes and the coaches and volunteers who support the program throughout the season. Competitive swimming demands early mornings, countless laps, and a commitment to continuous improvement — qualities that Sheridan’s swimmers have clearly embraced.
Adding to the week’s good sports news, the Sheridan Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors also gathered to officially welcome David Bare of Premier Financial Alliance to the local business community. The warm reception is part of the Chamber’s ongoing effort to support new businesses and help them connect with the broader Sheridan community — a tradition that helps keep the local economy vibrant and welcoming.
Together, these moments reflect what makes Sheridan special: young people striving for excellence in the pool and a business community that rolls out the welcome mat for newcomers. Congratulations to Sheridan’s swimmers and to David Bare on his new chapter in town!
